We camped there in July. Our TT is 33'. We had site 72. I chose that site for the shade and the water spigot was next to us. We had 6 adults in our group. If you can get site 13 or 14 they are real nice. Shady and 45-50 feet in length. I remember the Shady Lane area being hilly and some tight or smaller sites back there. Sites 84-200 were in the woods but near the main road that is outside the campground so you would here the cars. You would have to check the site photos for electric placement. The dark area by the dump station (DS)are the dumpsters. The sites in the middle were close. I would chose a site around the perimeter with the woods in back. We rode our bikes back to the 200's sites we were not impressed. The picnic tables are small and need to be replaced. There are a few new ones. The shower house is old but looked okay. We didn't use it. There is a walking trail between the campground and the lodge area. No bikes allowed on trails. They are rough with stairs, etc. Campsites are just okay. They could make them better. People go there to hike and float. The trails are beautiful!!
I hiked trails 9 and 5 with our 24 and 27 year old kids. It was pretty rugged and very cool. You had to watch where you were stepping. It was challenging. I took a lot of pictures! The river looked nice for floating. We drove to see the covered bridges at either end of the state park. Park rules are no swimming in the river but you can float. Apparently it flash floods. The river was low and there were people in the water under the swinging bridge. There wasn't anybody enforcing the rule. I'm sure there would be if the river was higher.
Enjoy your trip!
