Nothing new here. 30 years ago when we started camping it was common to see the following additional charges:
I'm sure I'm not thinking of a few. Over time a lot of parks stopped doing this, but a lot still do.
Not all KOAs charge extra for stuff. Most are franchised so it's up to the individual owner. KOAs are like Super 8 motels. Very inconsistent from one to another. Some are really nice, some are dumps I wouldn't recommend to someone I despise. As said above, do your research.
Jellystone? Are you kidding? Even when my daughter was a kid we steered clear of those places. There are far better places to go for a lot less money.
- Day time guests fee
- Day time guests using the pool fee
- A/C fee
- Electric heat fee
- Shower fee
- Cable TV fee
- Dump station fee
