canadian duty on alcohol
any first hand experiences on paying duty/customs on bringing alcohol over allowances on returning to canada?

Pretty much our experience also. We've had 4-5 bottles of various alcohols (some open) and never had an issue after wintering south; we always declare it.
I would never pay duty and taxes on any if we weren't allowed to cross with it, way too expensive. I would just have them dump it.
