Since this whole thing started we went into "self isolation" mode while in Florida and did the full quarantine protocols when we arrived back home as ordered and so far we don't know ANYONE either here or in our park in Florida who had the corona virus and neither do anyone else we know except one friend who's family member was on a cruise! Every new case in my part of Canada is mostly from migrant workers coming here to work the farms. There is 120,000 dead in US that would not agree. My state was hit hard early on. It appears that other states have caught up and passed us now. MardiGras brought it to us. Nurses homes have been hit hard. Stay safe

IMO Covid will be with us for a long time. There is no cure! There will be no cure, it's a virus. The flu is a virus, so is ebola. Both have been around for a long time with no cure. Covid is flu plus 10%.The President, Governors and Mayors had to do SOMETHING. So we ended up with this shut down of everything. Are they going to do the same next flu season? Who knows>I think herd immunity is the best defense, but have to live by the rules.

According to the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit only 2/3rds of cases are farm workers.

Seven percent of cases are listed as being because of travel related which is odd for two reasons, first, the farm workers had just travelled, no? Secondly, most of the country’s that the migrant farm workers have low infection rates so where did they get infected! In transit?

In the far east part of Canada, yes. But so far as I am aware I can travel to Alberta, so long as I self isolate for 14 days when I arrive in TB and then self isolate for another 14 days when I return to Saskatchewan.

Sure a lot of amateurDrs. On this forum. At the moment very few will insure you in the usa due to the border closure. It nay not even open this year. You can bet that insurance will be expensive. Would you really like to be in Mesa right now.

Actually, the self isolating thing is only in effect in Manitoba, for reasons unknown. All the surrounding provinces including Ontario, have dropped their self isolation rules. Sorry, meant for inter-provincial travel. International still requires the 14 day thing, I think.

Yes, I heard about the "only for residents" retriction. I wonder if the first come, first serve parks are also BC residents only? We stayed in Strawberry Flats in Muncho Lake PP in 2016 on an Alaska trip, and it was $20 a night, for a basic no hookup parking space. It was beautiful however.
I sent an email question to the Manitoba government asking about transiting Manitoba to get west of Ontario to Alberta. Whether self isolation can be done (or is required) while crossing the province in a self contained motorhome. Might be able to make it across wthout stopping for fuel in favorable road/traffic/weather conditions.

Manitoba says self-isolation inside the motorhome is fine, and avoid all unnecessary stops, if you want to enter/transit/leave.

I guess we shouldn't complain. On TV tonight they featured a Swiss couple in one of those big Unimog type RV. They had shipped it over to tour north & south America. They are now trapped in BC probably until a vaccine is available. They are happy they are trapped on this side of the border where Covid is minimal, not on the US side. Mind you come October they may want to re-consider that.
