Casino Route I-5

I-5. Portland to Yuma. Suggestions?
Being able to plug in would be nice, but not a deal breaker.
300 miles per day is about all that I would like to drive.
My thanks in advance.

  • We just made a trip similar except for Yuma. Here's some of our stops and others we heard about:
Canyonville, OR - Seven Feathers Casino RV Park or you can overnight at their fuel stop. Buy fuel there. Players card you get a discount on fuel.
Redding, CA - we stayed at Mountain Gate RV Park just north of Redding. There is also a casino there with an RV Park - Win River.
From Redding, head east on CA Hwy 44. Rest area at Bogard 25 miles before you get to Susanville.
Susanville, CA - didn't stay there but on this forum Susanville RV Park was recommended.
At Susanville, we took US395 south.
Bishop, CA - we stayed at the Bishop RV Park - at the Tri County Fairgrounds.
We stopped in Barstow but we stayed at the Marine Corps base. I don't see any other campgrounds there. Maybe someone on this forum could help. Otherwise, I would head to Needles CA where there is a KOA and other campgrounds.
from Needles you could head south on US95 to Yuma.
  • After Seven Feathers the next logical stop would be in Corning. Rolling Hills Casino has a FHU RV park.
  • Hi Marv! We stay at Rolling Hills all the time. Send me your Mexican dentist info via PM or Email. We will be in Yuma in late Jan. CVRVR second week of Feb. Chris
