Central CA campgrounds?
Looking for some suggestions for places to camp on the California Central Cost. Full hookups are not a requirement but would be nice and also close to the ocean would be great too! Thanks.

We stayed at this KOA in Moss Landing last weekend that was a little too close for comfort. We were there to be close to Laguna Seca for the races, if we were there to actually camp it would have been a major let down. Don't get me wrong it was very clean and friendly, just felt like a parking lot.
Have you folks tried Stampede Reservoir or Boca Rest by any chance?
Sonora isn't too far from either one.
Dry camping however.
Short drive to Truckee yet feels like the boonies.
Seen lots of kids at Stampede no one minds kids having fun up there.
All roads at Stampede are paved.
Might be good options versus the coast.
