Great trip report, Desert Captain! We also use the friends & family discount, when we can. There are so many ways to save when traveling. We have stayed at many city/county parks, usually with at least electric for very reasonable costs. A lot of casinos have rv parks or a place that rv's can park, some with hookups for reasonable costs. If we are just staying one night somewhere I don't want to pay $30 to $40 dollars, to each his own!
