Spring break time in the Smokies can be pretty cool. We were there one April and it snowed. We generally stay in the Park or at Twin Creeks which is nice close to the Park visitor center and on the Trolley route. It has all the extras and scenic near the creeks but on the expensive side. A few years ago we stayed at a public campground (COE) It had electric and rest roomms, east of Dollywood/Gatlingburg and it was about a 15/20 minute drive into town. Nice place, less expensive, can't remember the name but somebody will know.
