CG Suggestions In and around Pinellas County

We are contemplating attending an event at Lake Seminole Park in Pinellas County in a few weeks which involves our dog, so I figured bringing the TT would solve our accomodation issues.

I've done my own Google search and have not come up with anything reasonable that is available - reasonable is being defined without cost in mind. Of course I know this is prime snowbird season, but if anyone knows of a nice CG in the area, please let me know.

The KOA in North St. Petersburg is booked solid - may give them a call though.
  • Don't know about the other options, but Fort De Soto is great if you're going to spend much time at the campground. If your event will take up most of your time, perhaps proximity could outweigh other considerations.
  • We could only get into Dunedin for three days recently. Our fall back location was the KOA in St. Petersburg. It is huge and should have space. But call them rather than depending on the internet.
  • Thanks for the responses c- looking at the sattelitte images for Roberts RV Park - is "A real nice RV park" a good description?

Looks like a toss up betwen it and Ft. Desoto depending on openings. Thanks for the responses.
  • Bay Bayou nice park, large, dog friendly with a dog park.
    We enjoyed it there.

  • Fort DeSoto s a beautiful waterfront county park down at Tierra Verde with a section for campers with dogs. Might be tough to reserve close in.
  • 2nd for Roberts RV Park. It is very close to the park and is a nice RV park. Dunedin & Palm Harbor is waaaay to far north for your convenience to the county park.
  • Roycroft Rv Park has sites available. 10562 70th ave Seminole, Fl 33772.
  • Try Roberts RV Park. When you leave the park turn left and follow that road straight to Lake Seminole Park.
