We always stay in the smaller loops up near the boat landing and store. These are high on a bluff so don't have easy access to the water front. Since we have always gone off season, this isn't a problem.
We are only about 50 miles from there so use it as a quick get away or test run. Can't help out about any where to eat as we always eat at the camp site on short trips.
Gave up fishing years ago as I felt like I was always a loser. Either didn't catch any or did and had to clean them.
