Oh this topic hits a tender spot for me. It is the reason KOA stands for Keep Ourselves Away.
We were at a KOA, part of a huge hobby group in town which had virtually taken over the KOA. It was May, before their season kicked in so our group was a real bonus for them.
Anyway, the site entitled one to have 6 persons. Standard stuff right? It was just the 2 of us but we wanted 4 non RVing friends, also in town for the convention, for dinner for a couple hours. This makes 6 on our site for that short period of time.
The office insists on charging them a per head charge.
It has been 7 years since. Don't think that we have visited any more than 4 KOAs since & we have been in hundreds of CGs.
Sometimes CGs go overboard with their nickle & diming.
gee, I just made reservations at a Yogi Bear in MD. day guests are $10 each a day. I guess I will boycott all yogi bears in the future.
If truly going to essentially pass through the "guests" could stop at the entrance kiosk and get a "just looking" pass to check out facilities.
