We were in Charleston last weekend. We weren't camping but did go over to James Island to show some friends the campground. I was surprised at the number of trees on the access round to the park that they are allowing to grow over the road on each side making a canopy of very low branches. If you have a fifth wheel or high motor home be very careful getting to the park. We even left using the opposite direction and those road were just as bad. You can even see where the bark on some branches are stripped away from recent scraping. We have been there with our travel trailer and had no issues since it wasn't as high, but now with a fifth wheel we will be thinking twice about going. If you can get there it is a beautiful place!
we went there a few years back. thought the park was great, but as i went in with our Dutch Star...we hit a hanging vine, not even a tree branch, and it shattered the a/c cover and bent one of my air horns so badly, needed to replace it....have never been back...just too costly of an rv park for me...Chuck
