Cherry Springs Park, PA-Star Gazing

I am a amateur photographer (very amateur). I know It's a long shot but does anyone have any info or suggestions for camping and star shots at Cherry Springs State Park in PA? We are thinking it may be best to camp at Lyman Run and go to Cherry Springs at dark.

    Why,they have camping at Cherry Springs or at least they did years back when we were in the area.
