We found no need to leave the campground for anything. The camp store is one of the most well stocked I have ever seen plus they have a little farmer's market next to the store. The market offers sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, onions, etc. as well as crabs, shrimp, clams and various seafood soups.
We stayed there for 10 days last August and loved every minute of it. The charter boat offered adjacent to the campground is top notch. My son and I went out on a Saturday morning trip and could have easily filled a 5 gallon bucket with all the fish we were catching. The mates work hard and the fishing is good in that area.
One other thing I forgot to mention is their cafe. There is a fairly complete menu along with at least 20 flavors of hand dipped ice cream and a wide variety of milkshake flavors. Yes the campground has everything you could want or need for the most part, but if not, there is a Wally World about 30 minutes North on Route 13.
