Chesapeake bay camping suggestion.

Looking for a family camping place for next summer vacation. Details are 6 families, 7 teenagers. Staying for a week or so. Must have full hookup and the campground on the water, kayaking, etc...we've been to cherrystone and bethpage...looking to try something new..any suggestions?
  • Wanting full hookups limits your choices. I think Point Lookout, a Maryland State Park has some full hookups. Also Elk Neck State park at the north end of the Bay has a full hookup section. We like Jane's Island SP but that has electric only.Janes Island is the best for kayaking as they have a canoe launch, canoe trails and an Island with a private beach that can only be reached by boat. It was maybe a 15 or 20 minute paddle.
  • It's not on the Chesapeake Bay but, x2 on the Delaware Seashore State Park.
It's a nice CG. But, no shade trees.

I bit north of there . . Try Frontier Town in Ocean City..
Or in DE ,try Delaware State Seashore Park Campground.. Both full hook up ,with DE the cheaper of the 2
  • Are you members of 1000 Trails ? If so they have a few CG's in the area you are searching for. We are heading to Cape May area next Friday, there are quite a few CG's in that area, although they are at the coast. There is also Cherry Hill here in Md. it's close to Dc. matter of fact they have a Metro bus stop at the CG. Good luck and Happy Camping !!!
