yes Mueller state park is beautiful. we stayed there for 3 days in 2007. we just never seemed to get use to the high altitude. After what everyone has suggested we think we will do RMNP first for a couple days, then Buena Vista area the Colorado springs. Arrowhead Point Campground in Buena Vista is our favorite. It is out of town but not far, is quiet with great views and the owners are great.
