Christmas stuff in Texas
Hello, looking for a campground to visit over the thanksgiving break that would be close to some Christmas activities. Any suggestions? would prefer to stay at a state park but not a must...

I will agree that Thanksgiving might be just a bit early, but I will mention three good possibilities:
1> Agree about Jefferson. There are good campground on Lake 'o The Pines, COE, Brushy Creek and Buckhorn on each side of the dam. Not far to Jefferson.
2> Marshall, Texas has some great Christmas lighting that you can drive through, especially note the Old Courthouse. Same camping would work for Marshall.
3> San Antonio on the Riverwalk. Beautiful barges and unique Christmas music with a Mexican flavor.
You can get dates and other information online, Just Google.
Just noticed that OP is from Houston. I will add Nachitoches, LA to my list.
