Cloudland Canyou State Park, GA
Anyone been there? Which campground loop? Any specific sights to shot for? Thinking about making a trip there next summer. What all to see besides Ruby Falls? I love old scenic sights and the mountain...

Actually you can make reservations at Ga. State Parks I have done it many times. They usually don't assign a particular site but will reserve space.
We were at Cloudland Canyon last fall and enjoyed it very much. Lots of hiking trails and close to the Civil War battlefield sites of Lookout Mt. and Chickamauga.
One caution is when you get to the check-in station there is almost no parking, you will have to pull off the road and hope no one backs into you.
Laman, if you read further up the thread you will see we were talking about the fact that reservations one makes aren't site specific, i.e. first come first served.
We stay regularly at GSPs during our commutes between family and have even bought a Friends of the GA State Parks membership which saves us quite a bit of money.
