Ken is right on this - good advice. Particularly in July.
The RV parks in Estes are not great but, what with Hwy 34 being under construction you will have at least an hour each way from downtown Loveland. And, he so well points out, it is a good 15 minutes more at least - not figuring the long lines in July - just getting into the Park.
And, even though we lived in Estes Park, we not go back to the Buena Vista and that area when we go to Colorado.
And, in any case if you are going to CO you best start looking for reservations very soon; things will be tight already.
