Colorado Campground - Beware of Cancellation Policy

Can't see this going anywhere in a dispute. It would be a he said she said argument and the campground would have the upper hand due to the fact that their policy is spelled out so clearly on their website. It's hard to prove you weren't verbally told something. The OP could have gotten some consideration for good will by asking for it but after posting this post I don't know why they'd do anything special for the OP.
