Pretty much any area that becomes a tourist destination has a large group of residents who wish the tourists would stay home.
Face it - unless your job directly depends on the tourists dollars - having a bunch of tourists just makes your life less comfortable. More people on the roads, more people in the restaurants, more people in the stores. Higher prices to get the tourist income for almost everything.
It is the same all across the world. Colorado isn't unique with this 'issue'.
But despite how the folks feel - try a summer in central Texas, Colorado looks really inviting today!!!!!
