Colorado residents don't want tourists anymore

We were vacationing in the San Juan Islands of Washington state one year around Labor day. There were a couple of shop owners in a tourist area that were talking quietly about the upcoming party. The party was to celebrate the end of the tourist season and the return of a quieter life. These two women were grateful for a great tourist season but were exhausted by the hours and the people. I understand the feeling trying to make a year around living on 4 months of big business.
