Note that any of the above full hookup parks are extremely expensive. Do you really need hookups?
I don't know what you consider "extremely expensive" but 3 years ago Colter Bay gave us a ~$10/night discount using our Senior Pass and our full hookup site was ~$50/night including tax. We didn't think that was too bad considering that full hookup parks in many locations in the US are charging ~$35/night these days and they sure don't have the scenery that Colter Bay has.
And as to why people need full-hookups, some of us like to use our washing machines and take long showers. We don't camp; we RV, and we get full hookups whenever possible. RVing is not "roughing it" (for us, anyway).:B
It's not for us either. If I wanted to use a folding potty stool, wash dishes in the creek, and sleep on the ground, there are places to do that called primitive campgrounds. It's not for me, but I would never tell anyone they shouldn't do it simply because I wouldn't. It amazing the number of people who think because they do not subscribe to something that it has no merit. Now, excuse me while I go take that long shower that so many people frown on. Oh.. I'll have to do that later. One of my favorite show is on now. - docjExplorer

2gypsies,
Yes, I do need FHUs for medical reasons. At least 30A, but I prefer FHUs. What possible business is it of yours? You aren't paying for it.
Whoa! I think you might have misinterpreted my comments. I was giving options IF you could do without hookups. Sorry if it sounded otherwise.
I wouldn't want hookups so its good to know there are options I am not the op but its a place I would like to camp some day. - mosseaterExplorer II

As an observer, I didn't see an issue with your post. Prolly just the internet again. Folks take out of comments what they will. Where are those emoticons when you need them? - 2gypsies1Explorer III

The view from Colter Bay. - Not_a_ClueExplorerGreat campground, Colter Bay.
- jalichtyExplorerColter Bay campground, not the FHU site, does have about 10 sites on one of the loops with electricity but no water or sewer. They put them in for folks needing electricity for medical reasons and are very large and comfortable. We used one last year when our daughter-in-law visited us and she used a C-Pap machine at night. Depending on the length of your stay, not having water or sewer is not a big issue. We generally can stay there in our FW for at least a week without having the tanks get full, although we don't shower in the FW, we go up by the general store to the showers/laundry. Hope you find a place that fits your needs. We have been camping, in one way or another, at Colter Bay for about 50 years and enjoy it every time we go there.
