Commercial campgrounds in Franklin, Tennessee

HI All: We are planning a trip to the Franklin, Tennessee to look at the Civil war battle field. Please give recommendations on commercial campgrounds in the area. Also, what is the best time of the year to visit the area? Thanks. Jim2007

    There are no commercial RV parks or even publicly owned parks closer than about 15 miles to Franklin. Franklin/Williamson County real estate is FAR too pricey for that to be feasible.

    Go to RVParkReviews, and put in Franklin TN. You will get a fairly long list of options in all directions. Get out a map and check the addresses.

    There are some COE campgrounds within a reasonable distance that are pretty nice---Seven Points and Poole Knobs. They do fill up pretty fast so you need reservations.
