Until you get into southern Alabama, you could have nights that are down into the 30's and 40's.  Unless you have solar and boondock, you will want to try to find electric so you can have heat.   It can be cold there too.  We have been in central AL the past 2 winters and are heading further south this year as we are from MI, but it's still too cold.  Drive 1,000 miles and still have several nights at freezing or below in Dec, Jan & Feb.
