We didn't like Goose Island, because although "right on the beach" there didn't appear to be any easy way to get into the water. Now in defense of the park we just did a drive through and then off to Galveston Island SP. Could have easily missed the "beach". Did like the upper camp loop in the trees, but the DW didn't, and as we all know, "she who must be obeyed...."
