Thanks everybody for your input! We will be there in late October. We are finding that several places are already closed for the season. We will need to sprint! We are two seniors, no kids or pets with us. I am, unfortunately a light sleeper; so I really appreciate train and highway noise feedback...
We have camped at Country Haven many times and find very peaceful and quiet - the only sound is often the clip clop of the passing horse drawn Amish buggies. If you asked for a site away from the road you probably wouldn't even hear that! There is no better view of the Lancaster County farmscape. Bathrooms and showers are nice and clean. The owners do enforce their rules, but to us that is a plus, not a minus. Highly recommended! Oh, their website says they close October 31st.
