If there are no pets Morocco is a pretty cool place as well. We are booking a couple of weeks at an exchange place in a couple of cities in 2018/2019 time frame. There are not a lot of good camp grounds but we saw a couple that looked ok. We won't be camping, at least on the next visit. It is an amazing cultural experience. Having said that, once you get away from the north it helps to have a good command of french or Arabic. Spanish is common in the north but peters out about 100 KM south of Tangiers. We would like to do a month in Marrakesh although Tangiers is a very fun city. :)
