I drove through that Park when in the area last year...looks decent.
If you like drycamping:
There are some beautiful spots in campgrounds up along the Crooked River just out of Prineville. One of them has water- no other amenities but picnic tables, fire rings, latrines. Ten bucks a night, I think. But right on the river, and most will accommodate your rig.
