- D_E_JohnsonExplorerplease remember, the big tent does not go up until january. As far as dry goods stores, I never shop them, some of the best before dates are way to old for my liking. You just have to be careful.
- SCVJeffExplorerThere are AT LEAST 3 stores in town. One is on W. Main, west of the 95 on the south side, and the other two are on E. Main, east of the 95 on the north side. And there are a pile of dry goods places around, several just outside the big tent. Granted the one on the west side is a wreck, it's still a store with real live produce, cold stuff, etc.
- D_E_JohnsonExplorerthere are 2 small grocery stores in Q. Also a dollar general and family dollar. You can travel to Parker to the mid size walmart, 45 miles, or shop at Albertsons or Smart and Final in Blythe Calif, 20 mins away. Both are good stores. There is also a Kmart in Blythe with a few groceries..
We will be in Q by halloween for the winter.
I seem to spend more in Parker, cause Blue Water casino is just up the road from Wal mart!! go figure!
The Roadrunner market in Q was all redone last winter, they have a good selection of fresh veggies and fruits. You will pay a few cents more per item for the convenience of shopping locally. Stop at Times 3 restaurant, between Burger King and McDonalds, for saturday night prime rib-excellent.. Dona - homefor2ExplorerIt's a place every RV'r should see at least once. We stayed there with friends years ago and had a good time. We went back last winter and toured the tents. After spending half a day there, we looked around at the crowds and dust and drove away. It's a place you can love or hate. Personally we won't go back but many people love it and go back every year.

X2 - NinerBikesExplorerI'd rather visit "Q" in AZ, than "Burning Man" in Nevada. They both seem to draw people that love camping in the dirt outdoors in desert surroundings.
- Lenny_KExplorerHerb's is unique as it caters to RVers. A great hardware store.

Its a REAL neighborhood hardware store, the kind we all grew up around.
In other words, you go break something, so that you can go to Herbs and have a McGuyverFest?
"Herbs" here in CA means something else... Green medical prescriptions for fake aches and pains from reality, usually medication that goes up in smoke. Hey, I can get that same effect every Sunday going to a Catholic Church, for a small donation! - SCVJeffExplorerIts a REAL neighborhood hardware store, the kind we all grew up around.

we go to hang with friends, head into town to the show, come back to camp to fly RC and catch up since last year. Proceed to break something so we get to have a project and go to Herbs .
Every one should visit Quartzsite once. Don't know why anyone would go twice.
If you are by your self, hate crowds, or just plain grumpy,... Then yes maybe once is enuf
Tell us about Herbs.
