Dakota Ridge RV Resort in Golden, CO

Dakota Ridge RV Resort is the worst campground we have ever stayed at in our 20 years of camping. I reserved "buddy" sites six months ago, and our sites were open when we arrived, but they decided to give us the two worst sites in the campground instead, J1 and J2. Our "buddy" sites faced AWAY from each other, unlike the sites we were supposed to have. So we had a buddy site with a stranger instead of my folks.

Avoid this RV park at all costs, but absolutely refuse J1 and J2 if you must come here. My folks and us both bottomed out getting in, and I bent one of my jacks beyond repair. I went and bought a new set of jacks, which cost me $100, and asked for some compensation. Just $30 was all I asked for, and we paid over $240 for three nights here, and I was told they wouldn't do anything. Worst customer service ever!!

Please share this with anyone you know that goes camping in the Denver, CO area!
  • We stayed at this rv park about three or four years ago. We thought it was very nice and we had absolutely no issues with any manager or employee.
  • I've taken time to review many CG's on RV park review.com and given only one a negative review. That was Dakota Ridge.

    To the OP
Welcome to the forum. Yes please do join RV park review.com and post your reviews. Please post the great ones as well!
  • I will backup the OP's comments. I have been to Dakota Ridge twice. Both times the office staff have been rude and the RV site was poor. I will try a different place next time.
And yes, I have posted my experience to rvparkreviews.com

I read this all the time on this site. Why is there an unwritten rule that prohibits first time posters to post something negative about an experience?

While Dakota Ridge is not my choice for a Site, someone who makes his first post to Complain might not be the most Unbiased Opinion.

There are many other options in the area, .....so my suggestion is to ask for info before you plop your Money down to stay in the area - State Parks - County Parks - and City Parks are all available, and IMHO are great options in the Area.

Hopefully you will use the Forum to seek info rather than just Complain.
