Will be in Dallas area first week of March. Any suggestions for campgrounds close to downtown ? Thanks.

I don't believe there are any places close to downtown.

Sir the best place to stay in Grapevine I think its called the vineyards I know there are campground in carrolton but I assure you you do not want to stay there There is also a campground in Cedar Hill which might work its by I 30 which has direct access into the mix master Trust me you will know what that means when you drive into dallas Just stay in the left lane as you approach the city I think its labeled 35 or 75 I take so much I forgot Fyi there is a great bque place open only for lunch at the farmers market wed thru sun As a side note allow a lot of time for traffic

Nothing really close to downtown, but we have stayed at Treetops RV in Arlington and found it very nice. Treetops RVWe have also stayed at Cedar Hill State Park and we like that setting, but it is a bit further out.Much depends on which part of Dallas you may wish to be near.

Treetops, Grapevine and the RV park at Trader's Village are about your best choices. Grapevine is like being in a state park but not from from DFW. Traffic going into Dallas can be a bear from there. Treetops in Arlington is nice but in a congested area a high retail area, but still not too far from I-20. Trader's is close to I-20 and also 360 which gets you to I-30. I usually stay there since it is easier to get in and is easier to get on and off all major hwys that take me somewhere. The flea market on the weekends are a plus. Nice park with a pool and all concrete pads and roads and not bad price.
