We loved Dead Horse - great location to see the surrounding area, and also lots of hikes that start in the park (nice path to get to the old town of Cottonwood)
We were also in the upper area - it is newer and quieter. The lower area is older with more established plants. It is also a bit noisier, since it is more tent friendly.
