Death Valley suggestions early January

I stayed at Furnace Creek campground. Some hookup, some non hookup sites. Some very large sites. Verizon service. Then on to Mesquite Spring. My favorite of the two no hookups. More remote, near crater and Scotty's Castle. Friend w/ 35' had no problem but he did rub side of motorhome on mesquite bushes at entrance. Variable size sites, some more level than others. Some sites very long. No Verizon or ATT service at Mesquite Spring.

Then on to Lakeside RV park in Pahrump. $16 w/ Passport America. First impression is attractive campground for the price. I do not recommend the buffet (limited selection mediocre at best).
