Delaware Family Campground

Does anyone know if you can just bring your own tube/float into the campground and go into the river? Or do you need to rent from the campground?
  • If you are talking about the Delaware River Family Campground in Columbia, NJ; we have stayed there, but not for a few years. They had a boat ramp that was free for campers. I never tubed, but launched my cartop boat with motor there many times. I seem to recall other campers launching upstream and taking their rafts/tubes out at the campground.
  • We always used our own tubes but we entered/exited using public access points. Your best bet is to call the campground. Don’t forget to ask them about a good place to exit. It may be worth renting tubes if they have a drop off/pickup service.
