Greetings! Not sure which direction you are comming from, headed to, staying near friends, how close you want to stay to Disney or other attractions, etc. but there are LOTS of nice places much closer. I used to live in Hesperia and have been going to Disneyland my whole life. It is a solid 1 1/2 hr from Disneyland, more if there is any traffic. And when you are tired after watching the fireworks, or closing out the park, it feels like a LONG haul to get back. Hesperia can also be hot, dry and windy this time of year due to Santa Ana conditions (like we are having this weekend)
I would highly recommend Canyon RV Park in the Anahiem hills. It is far enough out of the main city to feel more quiet and relaxed, grass and trees, large flat sites, and is only 15-30 minutes to just about anything you could possibly want to do. We stayed there almost a week, did a couple days at Disneyland (15-20 minutes away), relaxed and played outside, did some crafts. The Santa Ana river trail (goes from the mountains to the ocean) goes right past the campground, great for a nice bike ride. Even with the freeway nearby I was surprised how quiet it was. We really enjoyed our stay.
