It may not "be their job", but their bottom line depends on having a park full of people enjoying themselves. That is why they build shuffleboards and provide entertainment, not because the have to.
I think (to your point colliehauler), that the younger/next gen (which I consider myself part of, since im not retired yet) retirees are not looking for parks that have activities, but parks/locations that are at places where there are a lot of different things to do in the surrounding areas.
TomG2. Just curious.. Your profile says you're from Central Illinois, but it sounds like you own the park in the RGV? Or is this your snowbird retreat?
My two cents.. when I retire, I will be heading to place where there is a good amount of things to do locally. When I run out of stuff, I'll pick up and move on. Of course, maybe when Im in my 80's, I might want shuffleboard, but not anytime soon.
