Lots of reasons and justifications have been posted trying to explain the reduced number of snowbirds these last few years. 1: I think a generation of retirees that want to do what their parents did is about over. B: And more importantly, may be the reduction in pensions and disposable income of today's pensioners. Example: That big house that we were going to make $200,000 on is worth about what we owe on it and the money from Daddy's farm was spent years ago.
