It's also a very nice area with lot's to do within a 60 minute drive or less. I'm sure my old park in Mt. Dora is full by now for all of the same above reasons that yours is.
My current park in Texas is "suppose to be full" in Jan/Feb. I tend to believe it will be since it's as far south in Texas as you can go without being in Mexico, surrounded by water, and with a bunch of restaurants/bars/events to enjoy, all at a Winter Texan price.
Thinking when Spring Break starts in March most mobile RV Winter Texans will leave this area and be enjoying Hill Country or even beyond. Our plan is to head west and explore before the Texas A&M Spring Breakers arrive.
Sidenote: They're good respectful kids, just gets way to crowded for me (and the other old soaks around me.) Wanted to make sure readers don't think I was implying they were destructive like in some other parts of the country where Spring Breakers go.
