When we were at the Fort a few years ago they had signs everywhere that say "no swimming" I wondered why and looked it up and it was due to a law passed that you could not swim in man made lakes because of the possibility of bacteria in the stagnant water. so we stayed out. didn't even dip a toe in the water. no swimming means no part of the body should be in the water. I do agree that because of the visitors they get from around the country and world, they should have the alligator signs posted also, (which I`m assuming will be up by the weekend)!
We can`t really point a finger here because both sides didn't do enough to avoid this awful attack! Nature is a strange thing, one minute it can be a beautiful thing and the next will make you wish you were never alive! I can`t begin to imagine how the family is feeling! and I never want too!
