OK - while I realize it is way too hot currently in AZ, I am already dreaming of heading back down. Seattle has been terribly grey, wet and cool for this time of year since we landed at the sticks and bricks place. I already feel the need for some sunshine!! So, I think we will head south around mid-October.When do you head out for the warmer south lands?

October, and I'm beginning to think June is too early to return.

Come on down to the Colorado mountains! It's sunny and in the 70s and 80s.

We head south around the 1st of October. We too are getting a little tired of the rain and coolness in the month we've been up here on the Oregon Coast. Hopefully, it will warm up a little and start the "dry season".However, heading for Arizona in June is a big mistake....bad idea...bad!

We leave NW WA in late October, early November, for the Phoenix area. Up until this week the weather has been pretty good compared to last year when we had the wettest June on record.

Hello, fellow mossgrower...interested in a temporary "fix"?Don't overlook the warmth on the other side of the Cascades right here in Washington State...I recently enjoyed two weeks of blissful sunshine on the East side, and my Husband is over there right now with his motorcycle gang ("The Rebels Without a Clue").And if you go soon, you can still get in on the Spring wildflower bloom- eye candy! :)

OK - now it's pretty darn hot and humid here at home. I wanted a little warmer with sunshine. Getting overkill with 90's projected for Monday/Tuesday. I know, no making me happy.

Home equals Dr appointments, eye exams, Drs, house repairs, RV and car maintenance and those those essential but not so fun things. AZ equals friends, good adventures, ATVing, geocaching, good books and little in the way of must dos. I think I miss the freedom from major responsibility as much as I miss the AZ sunshine.

Counting down until early October when we will head slowly south. See you all on the road. Travel safe!

I would head to Ea. Wash. if I were you. Go and stay at Twisp. Stay at Riverbend, right on the Twisp river. Having said that, you should know our summer doesn't start until July 5.:)

Im sitting here in 98 deg heat, tomorrow is 104. My feet are itching to go to the mountains. Even Rockport is too hot.

Mid October going south, then back first part of May. After this cold/wet spring, thinking June would have been a better time to have come back.

Just returned to Colorado from Apache Junction today. Had been there for a couple of weeks taking care of stick house. The 105 there is far better than 32 here in Colorado. The drifts of sunshine are much easier to shovel than snow anytime. Seriously, we will head back to stick home in AJ in October and won't head back to CO until June. October can't come fast enough.

We usually take advantage of one of the casino junkets to Laughlin/ Bullhead City to visit our winter home. 4 days in August is enough of the summertime heat.
