Dogs and camprounds

If you are traveling with a dog check to see what campgrounds offer a pet walking service. When we know that we are going to be gone for more than four hours we look for parks that have that service so that they come to our RV and take our dog for walks while we are out and about. Most do not post that the service is available so we just call and ask.

  • We camped in Castaways RV Resort in Ocean City Maryland last year. We have been RVing for 34 years and this is the first CG we saw that offered dog walking services, dog park, dog beach and a dog wash station.

Most parks we're in say don't leave your dog unattended...

Recently we parked next to a couple that left their dogs in the camper while they went out and about - the dogs barked non-stop until they got back.

    Lovely.

x2 never seen a walking service since almost all say not to leave unattended

  • It is a good idea. I love to take mine on walks around the campgrounds...I tell one that we have to go on campground patrol and he likes it. We camped last week at a campground about a mile around the whole area...they did not like the walk but I got my exercise.
