Durango, Co ?

Need suggestions - meeting sister halfway. We are coming from SW OK, Altus, they are coming from Beaumont, CA. Durango, CO seemed halfway. We also were looking for a nice temps place. This would be over Labor Day weekend for a week. Need a campground for Motorhome 40ft and 34 fifth full hookups. Any suggestions. We have been to Durango before without our Rv. Thanks for any suggestions. Deb

    We just got back from 6 nights at Durango Riverside RV Resort. We have stayed once before. It is beside the Animas river about 12 miles north of Durango on CO 550. Sites are tight but they can fit anything. It is outside of town a ways but NO traffic noise unless you consider the river flow over rocks. They're camp store was reasonably stocked so you would not go hungry if you showed up light on supplies for the 1st night. We have not stayed there but the KOA looked worth staying in from the road and we have read great reviews about it.
