Durango, Colorado camp spots?

I would like to revisit Durango. We have stayed at Lightner Creek but would like to try some place different but in the same area. We usually like State Parks due to camping in the woods. Can anyone please suggest some good alternative to the close quarter parking lot style?

We really liked Junction Creek, the road up the hill is just a little bit hairy.

Haviland Lake national forest campground is our favorite...just north of Durango.

I neglected mention that we have a 35' 5r. I was also hoping for something a bit closer.

Try Mancos State Park: Mancos 33 miles NW of Durango.

...or Navajo State Park Navajo 42 miles SE of Durango
