Durango/Silverton Train
Are reservations really necessary? Going mid Sept. and not sure what date we'll be passing through. May not know until the day before.

If you are retired military, they offer a military discount. We were there two years ago in July. They were running three trains to Silverton. Glad we made reservations. The trip is fantastic! Although it was July, we needed jackets in Silverton.
