Duty free liquor
I am traveling down to the US and was wondering if it is really cheaper to buy liquor at the duty free shop on the Canadian side. Or is it cheaper to buy it down in the states. Thanks

When I traveled OVERSEAS for business, it was always cheaper to buy liquor at the duty free on the way out but now that I'm just traveling to USA, it's cheaper to buy in USA.
The bottom shelf rye whiskey I drink is $56CDN for 1.75L at the LCBO and about $15US for a half-gallon in almost any liquor store in the States. Duty free would be less than LCBO price.
