Having lived many years on the Ontario side of Lake Erie, I would recommend taking highway 3 thru the agricultural lands of the "Banana Belt" of Ontario. Many interesting older towns and museums. Cross the Welland canal lift bridge. See an old fishing village of Port Dover. Tobacco museum in Delhi. St. Thomas old rail town. Leamington for vegetable processing plants. Very scenic drive.
