If you can or decide to dry camp, there are a number of BLM campgrounds in the Moab area. The ones on UT-128 are right next to the Colorado River. There are also dispersed camping opportunities, but check the maps carefully as there are restricted areas. Checking with the local BLM office may be a good idea as the restrictions do change from time to time.
