Copy your post over at TripAdvisors page and see if the owners come up with a refund for you. Here is the resort's page there

It's unreasonable and perhaps illegal (depending on the state) to have no cancellation fee posted. I would also contact the Better Business Bureau. $100 isn't enough to sue over (which the owners know) but these other actions can forewarn others by drawing attention to this unacceptable practice.
