I need a place to go that I can fly my wife and Military son up for a week and hang out. Flying them into Boulder is easy and I can pick them up and head back to the camper.
Consider Longmont KLMO or Loveland (recently renamed as Northern Colorado Regional Airport) KFNL - (actually easier and closer than the other 2) as other choices. Nothing wrong with Boulder, but Longmont and Loveland are just as easy access to Estes Park, and gives you "usually" less crosswind and better fuel prices.
Edit - upon initial first read I presumed you meant flying in to Boulder via general aviation, hence my remarks about alternative airports at Longmont and Loveland. If you mean commercial flights, then your choices are much more limited. Broomfield (Rocky Mountain Regional Airport) KBJC has a few regional commercial flights, Loveland did at one time, but I'm not real sure about them. The only full service commercial airport is Denver International DIA and is a bit more of a drive from Estes Park.
